Carmel School maintains a structured environment that encourages discipline, respect, and responsibility. These rules are designed to ensure the safety, well-being, and holistic development of every student.
Attendance & Punctuality
- Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance to be eligible for examinations.
- Students must arrive at school at least 10 minutes before the assembly bell.
- Repeated late arrivals will result in disciplinary action and notification to parents.
- Leave of absence requires a written application from parents/guardians in advance.
Uniform & Appearance
- Students must wear the prescribed school uniform on all working days.
- Uniform must be neat, clean, and properly ironed.
- Boys must have short, well-groomed hair. Girls must tie their hair neatly.
- No jewellery, fancy watches, or expensive items are permitted.
Discipline & Conduct
- Students must show respect to teachers, staff, and fellow students at all times.
- Use of abusive language, bullying, or violence is strictly prohibited.
- Students must maintain silence in corridors, library, and during examinations.
- Damaging school property will result in fines and disciplinary action.
Academic Integrity
- All assignments and projects must be completed independently unless group work is assigned.
- Cheating in examinations will result in cancellation of paper and strict action.
- Students must bring all required books and materials to class daily.
- Homework must be submitted on time as per the teacher's instructions.
Safety & Security
- Students must not leave the school premises without written permission.
- Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited within the school campus.
- Students must follow safety protocols during science lab sessions and sports activities.
- In case of emergency, students must follow the instructions of teachers and staff.
